Back again like Knight Rider in this bitch! Was in update limbo for a while. Football season and shit you know.

First of all, new blog doo-doo up in the Snake Plissken's Eyes section. That shit will be updated more regularly from now on. Maybe!

Second up, holy fuck, have you seen Dyson's new shit? What? Even if you have already, go to the Stereo website right now and watch his full-length part in their new promo video.
Ho, cuz!, Dyson went make all the braddahs out here sooooo proud. Also, as a bonus in that nicely done short film is new footage from Stereo O.G.'s Carl Shipman and Matt Rodriguez.

Third, have you skated that hot new not-so-secret secret spot yet? I don't know exactly where it is, so don't ask. They tie me up and blindfold me on the way there every time, but I can tell you it's fucking insane.

Last of all, we spotted Sierra Fellers, Brent Atchley, and Grizzly Chris Haslam rolling around the north shore park yesterday. Brian couldn't take his eyes off of Haslam's massive cankles.

Those dudes were seriously chilling and they still killed it. Can't imagine them with the switch flipped on. They're in town for the contest and demo that T&C is putting on Saturday at the Mililani skatepark.
Go there for the demo and also to cheer for the trainers who practice so hard for these things. Maybe even get in there yourself. They usually give away decent shit at these things as far as prizes go.

I know we've been slacking lately. Well hows about this little clip of the Dynamic crew and a promo for their new video. My buddy Robert who's the team manger said their always looking for talent so if you thinks you gots it email him yo shit!

APB has just dropped their latest shop board, it's a modern day twist on the original Captain Morgan graphic that ten years ago adorned the very first APB shirts ever. Shit is green bananas, support the braddahs and go pick one up.

In related news, our buddy and APB team rider Jordan DeOliveira has finally been rewarded with that honorary signature deck that he earned for winning the Lunchbreak Invitational employee skate contest over there at his workplace, Girl Skateboards. Check out the FILM section of the APB website to see the video of him receiving this wondrous board, that comes complete with his name and an awesome Hawaiian touch.

Also, peep out Jordan and new Cali resident Matt Chaffin over on Crailtap, sniped at the Girl 15th anniversary company party over the weekend. Jordy says Matt is adjusting well to life on the mainland and stacking up some footage.

Speaking of Cali residents, I noticed that Adrian Adrid came back to Hawaii for a visit. I don't know if he's still here but I saw him ripping the fuck out of A'ala Park one day. He has a shaved head now and he's on fire. Watch this shit if you don't believe me.

What's up? I skated a slick red curb and a couple of pools with Jef Hartsel this past weekend, what did you do?
I'm gonna go skate Chuck's ramp right now.
Summer may be over but the shred must go on.

Not much exciting going on in these here parts lately. Sean Reilly and Chris Kays returned home last week from their Natural Koncept east coast tour, Reilly assures me it was as ludicrous as you may have imagined. He said something about falling off of a roof three days into it, that sounds about right I guess. Reilly also said that he filmed a bunch of crazy stuff that will no doubt be in the Attack Of The Killer Haoles video. Until then, tune into the new Transworld website because I'm told that there will be coverage of the NK tour on there sometime in the really near future.

Speaking of the new Transworld site, noticed our buddy in NYC Anton Glamb splattered all over Manhattan in Blair Alley's blog. Peep the slideshow and don't miss Anton chumming it up with Austin Powers wardrobe consultant Richie Jackson.

Are you watching the Olympics on TV right now? Shit is riveting to say the least, especially the women's filed hockey. All this non-stop Olympic coverage reminded me of a story I wrote about Tim Jackson a few years back. Not the O.G. Venice Tim Jackson, but the O.G. Aiea Tim Jackson!

Anyway, Timmy's unreleased APB team profile is now posted in the blog over there with the Lex Brodie picture. Check out the price for gas in that picture by the way...

Oh one last thing, it was my man Kenny's birthday yesterday. Happy birthday, fucknuts! See how your friends talk to you?

Bernardo Bernard gets my vote for illest skater of 2008 so far, and it looks like our homies over at In4mation have officially welcomed him to the team. This switch backside heelflip down the sandy six at Ala Moana Beach Park is but a mere smidge of the gnarliness that Nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh-Nardo is capable of. Get familiar because this dude is on some very real takeover type shit right now, and he's been steady stacking all kinds of ridiculous footage for Sean Reilly's long awaited "Attack Of The Killer Haoles" video that is currently in some sort of production or editing stage. We think.

We at Hi-Rolling have teamed up with skate proprietor Mishen skateshop to bring the Mishencrete t-shirt. Mishen skateshop embodies the spirit of the blue collar skateboarder. Get down and dirty. So we only see it fit to team up with them on this design. Get them at Mishen skateshop of course. Click for bigger pic and check the dude cementing the barrier!

The In4mants has just informed us that Bernardo Bernard is their newest recruit.

Did you go skating on "Go Skateboarding day?" Look it's called Go skateboarding day not be a dipshit day. This fool is lucky he didn't get beat down.

Anyway check out our newest interview with Jarold Webb.

Saturday is the 21st of June. That means its Go Skateboarding Day or GSD. I always thought GSD stood for Gary Scott Davis. Anyway isn't it as the old cliche says everyday is Go Skateboarding day? Go out with the homies an cause a ruckus.

Our homie Masa has been in town for a bit so we decided to head out to Kapolei. I got a bum knee so I decided to bust out the camera. Good to see Bo back on his board and as usual the crew was going off. Check the vid.

There was a DC demo down at Aloha Tower was last Saturday afternoon. I checked it out for 10 minutes, basically it was cornball and pretty lame. No PJ, no Kalis, and no D. Way, but if you like watching Ryan Gallant skate flatground and on a little ledge box then you were stoked, because he rode like a fucking videogame character, crisp and clean. If by some chance you were fortunate enough to not be there and you're curious as to what it all looked like, here's a little video of the demo from the Transworld site. There's also some more DC in Hawaii footage here. Me, I gladly left that bullshit behind and went with Hartsel, Masa and about 15 of his Japanese homies to kick it on the north shore and skate Cholo's. Bo Ikeda was there and ripping. Great to see him back where he belongs, and that's on board and killin' 'em softly with that trademark relaxed steelo.

Back like Van Halen in this bitch! What!

The website was gone for a minute, but the blog was rolling thick, roasted like ever. There's a video montage posted from the Blaisdell mini-ramp jam back in March, peep it out and explore the rest of that shit, there's a bunch of bullshit in there that you might have missed.

So did you make it out to the e'S Game Of Skate last weekend? I didn't, but the local TV news crews did. Peep out this little KHNL News 8 piece and video about the happenings down at A'ala Park last Saturday. I guess the news broke out before the contest got underway, but everyone already knew last year's winner Ian Okui would be the man to beat. Surprise! He won again. I heard it was a four man final between Ian, Matt Chaffin, Silent John and last year's runner-up Danny Hamaguchi. Ian straight bolo'd all of them, and in case you're not up with the SKATE lingo, getting bolo'd means you got shut out, as in you lost and didn't give the other guy any letters at all. Ian did it again and will represent Hawaii at the Game Of Skate world championships that will be held in July at the Maloof Cup skate contest in Orange, California. Maloof Cup? Yep, that's the one with the BIG money purse. Check out the more detailed e'S coverage of Ian's victory right here.

Welcome back behooches. Did you miss us? Come on admit it. We've only been gone for almost 2 months and you know you're feeling internet withdrawals from no Hi-Rolling Media fix. If you could you'd somehow liquefy us, put us in a dirty ass syringe left on the sidewalks of the Ala Wai and shoot us up between your toes because you don't want to leave ugly scars on your forearms. Well we're back, but we didn't say we were better. First off you'll see a lovely banner there at the top. This is because we're a bunch of cheap asses so in order to get a free host server we had to put up with their ads. Second we've decided to cut the forums out due to the heavy penis enlarging spambots that keep flooding the messageboard on a daily basis. Third if you have your bookmark set to www.hi-rollingmedia.com it won't work with the hyphen. It will only work with www.hirollingmedia.com. So to quote the words of the infamous Ted Knight in Caddyshack "You'll get nothing and like it!"

P.S. You can thank all of those peeps who told us to bring it back cause if it wasn't for them we'd never get off our lazy asses. Enjoy.

Another video clip, this one courtesy of Transworld, featuring Hawaiian homie Jarold Webb from APB and his boy Cano Cardenas. You may remember Cano as one of the special guests from the latest Super Skatepark Tour video that took place last summer, if you missed it it's still downloadable in the podcast section of the website here. Anyway this little video is extra dope and it features Jarold and Cano ripping spots over in Cali as well as right here in Hawaii. Nice, boys! Real nice.

There's a little Volcom video clip floating around the Interwebs right now from their recent Hawaii trip, if you haven't seen it, it's worth a look. Can you spot Jarold Webb in the mix? He's getting crooky to fakie up at UH if you can't find him. Also up at UH, look for Angel Ramirez blowing your mind with a frontside feeble transfer down the stairs at Kuykendall, and Caswell Berry completely melting your brain with a backside tailslide over the sign at Kuykendall. Do you have any idea how fucking gnarly that shit is? Recognize!

Still working on a Japan trip article. Sooo much shit to sort through. Until then, peep out the video stills of my three days in Osaka on my man Junji's blog over at his website, soundboarding.net Junji's putting together another episode for his Goldenroad skate travel series all about my Japanese experience and it should be available for viewing soon.

Speaking of Japan, look who I stumbled across in the newest issue of Japanese Transworld magazine? What up, Nick, we see you out there, and domo arigato for the website props, too!

So I'm back from Japan. I guess I should say "tadaima". That's what they say over there when they return from somewhere. Then you would say "okaeri", or welcome back, or maybe you would say "fuck you, you should have stayed there" or something along those lines. Anyway, it was insane. Tokyo was amazing for sure with Masa and Rip, but it was in Osaka with Junji where the real documentation went down. Check out Junji's first blog entry about the trip and peep the video stills for a taste of how I was living the Osaka Vibe! Full article and bullshit later.

Oh, and did you happen to see that they had a employee only skate contest over at Girl? Guess who won first place? Just guess. Congratulations to Girl's number one worker/ripper, who is none other than local braddah bumbarasta bwoy and APB team rider Jordan DeOliveira! Way to bring it home for the win, Jordy, and go get irie, you deserve it. Peep the video, son!

Konnichiwa, bitches! Japan in full effect, today is my last day in Tokyo. Ima ame ga futte imasu. That means its fucking raining. No problems though, me and braddah Masa have a skate date tonight with mister Fourstar Super Champion Fun Zone superstar tour guide himself, you may know him as Rip tha Rippa, a.k.a. Lip My Stocking. Gonna partake in a little private sesh over in Shibuya at the Burton bowl, otherwise known as the baby Supreme bowl. Otherwise its been full blown skatetopia over here, Masa has taken me to some dope spots and I have been skating hella mini ramp up in this piece. Tomorrow I am outta here to bounce to Osaka to meet up with my man Junji for some Osaka Dagger tear shit up type shit! Its on like Donkey Kong-san! More as the situation develops, until then, ja mata ato de. That means see ya later, sucka!

Hawaiians just don't stop! The Skateboard Mag (best modern-day skateboarding periodical, period.) has posted a nice little video taste of Dyson Ramones doing some of his signature styling shred stuff. Soon to be big poppa Cuzzo and the Fitted fam have just dropped another scorcher t-shirt/cap combo pack down there. It came out today but it's probably sold out by now, if not go down there and cop that shit. But who's this haole modeling the new joints and getting lei'd by that fine wahine? Big ups to my boy Kenneth The Blaze Brimer for doing such a fine Zoolander job in his modeling debut.

Local braddahs are always making power moves within the skateboard industry. Mark Oblow and Ryan Kingman are just two locs off of the top of my head that have left Hawaii and moved to the mainland to become big timers behind the scenes of some of the biggest companies in skateboarding. Well, now there's another one because after months of speculation, it seems like our boy the savage professor Andy Henrie is the new team manager over at Nike SB. Fuck yeah! Look for this dude flying first class from here on in.

After a month of standing still, I finally updated the APB website. I love cross-referencing.

I also wrote something for my peoples over on the Fitted Hawaii website. I dropped by the store the other day to pick up a couple of new banger t-shirts, their latest offerings are on some ol' fly shit! Oh, and they also have a huge stack of Heavywater Magazines over there, you can go grab one of those and check out the Jarold Webb interview that me and Sean Reilly collaborated on. The mag is free but the heat in the shop costs dollars!

Hey, wanna talk about The Struggle some more? Start another thread about it in the forum! Psyche. Don't. We had a DVD release party on Sunday night, check out the blog piece and talk about that instead.

Issue #49 of The Skateboard Mag is out now and features local dudes Kaikea Kimura, Jarold Webb, Aaron Lee, and Danny Hamaguchi. Sick combo: photos by Atiba, and captions by the dude writing this! Ya heard.

Oh yeah, everyone say what up to the tall man Sean Payne and give him a welcome back when you see that dude, he's back!

One time a few years ago I had this idea that me and Noodles should dress up like Hall and Oates for Halloween. Private Eyes was the jam, that was my shit! Anyway, these guys from Seattle have made the best video I have seen in quite some time. It's called Hauilin' Ass To Hall and Oates, and it's fucking borderline genius. Look for our homie and former island boy Joel Maxey a.k.a. Rail Master Stiffy making an appearance in one of the montages. Good to see this kind of creativity and awesomeness is still alive in modern skateboard cinematography. Yeah, Seattle! Long live Red Square. Oh, and don't forget to download Hall and Oates greatest hits, shit is the illest!

Have you seen the Girl open house slideshow? Check out the bumbaclot Jordan rocking the bullhorn! He was actually the master of ceremonies for the contest that Maui boy Nate Guest took 2nd place in. Cheeeeee doggay!

Chad from APBizzles is back in town after spending some time with Matt, Danny and Jordy in rainy SoCal for that open house contest as well as that ASR shithole. I guess them dudes got out of the rain at least one day and got to skate The Berrics with some other bros. Lucky fucks! Kai from Mishen also made the journey to S.D. for some trade show brodeoing. Speaking of the Mishen, there's a new rider on the squizzad! The all around destroyer Shota Kubo is fully repping it, look out for my man on some takeover shit this year. Also peep the new promo video piece over at Tried to post some video clips in the blogger, but that shit is acting all erratic and weird. There are some new pics up in that piece though. Go have a looky look.

Meanwhile, it's rainy and windy here and sometimes it isn't. Figure it out because I can't.

Just got the word from APB's own Chadwick at Girl headquarters regarding the 2nd annual open house Girl Invitational shop contest. Seems that once again, the state of Hawaii represented hard and a local boy almost won the whole shebang! Only thing is that this time is wasn't the 2006 runner-up, APB's own Danny Hamaguchi who stepped up. Apparently the little guy couldn't recreate the magic that he wowed the crowd with from last year, and this time it was Maui's own Nate Guest from 180 Boardshop who ended up in second place overall. The mokes must be stoked. Congratulations, brah, way to represent the fiftieth!

Also heard from my boy Leonardo Blazini that Heath Ledger, a.k.a the Hollywood version of Skip Engblom in Lords Of Dogtown, has passed away at the age of 28.

Dude just finished up playing the Joker in the new Batman movie coming out later this year. R.I.P., bro.

HOT link right here from The Berrics, peep out new footage from the Stereo team, including THE man Jason Lee himself putting it down. Killer stuff, but where Dyson at?

You never want to hear about people getting injured at any time, even worse when it's someone you know, but apparently former pro and all-around nice guy Bo Ikeda hit his head really bad yesterday at the north shore skatepark and fractured his skull. According to Robby at 50-50, Bo is in the hospital and will be there for the next couple of days. In the meantime, everyone should head over to the 50-50 forums and say a little something to help speed along his full recovery. Best wishes from all of us here, and please get well soon, Bo, Hawaiian skateboarding needs you out there.

Far less thrilling but more local are these two recent clips from when the Matix guys were in town. Pearl City and the Cannon Club.

Epic Sunday sesh a few days ago. Proof in the bloggger soon.
